Statoil has awarded drilling contracts worth Nkr12 billion (US$1.52 billion) to Archer, KCA Deutag and Odfjell Drilling for drilling services to 18 of Statoil’s fixed platforms.
The drilling deals comprise completion, intervention services, plugging, maintenance and modifications on the multiple platforms.
The contracts take effect from 1 October 2018, initially for a period of four years. The deals include three two-year extension options.

Statoil’s chief procurement officer, Pål Eitrheim added: "The contracts provide us with a good foundation for close and predictable collaboration. We thus facilitate safe and efficient operations. The contracts are aimed at improving our joint competitiveness and enabling a sound level of activities."
