Shell signs a long-term LNG supply deal with KPC

Shell signed a 15-year LNG supply agreement with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) through its Middle East subsidiary.

Shell in a joint statement with KPC said it will supply LNG from 15 years from 2020 to help meet Kuwait’s growing energy demand as the country looks to boost economic growth where burning cleaner fuels will contribute to reducing emissions and improve local air quality, the statement said.

“Whilst KPC is working towards increasing local natural gas production, there is a pressing requirement to secure imports of natural gas supplies in the meantime,” it said.
