Harris Pye appoints new GM for Offshore & Marine

Richard Price has been appointed general manager for Offshore & Marine within the Power Services Division of Harris Pye, a Joulon company.


Richard Price has been appointed general manager for Offshore & Marine within the Power Services Division of Harris Pye, a Joulon company.

He was a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Marine Engineer with the IMarEST, Richard Price gained a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southampton University in the UK in 1993, and then worked within the oil and gas industry in a wide range of roles over the years.

“With over 25 years’ global experience in marine, offshore and power generation markets, and a respected specialist in the application of steam boilers and bespoke combustion systems for FPSO/FSO, FLNG and LNG carrier/ FSRU applications he is very much the right man for this key role,” explained Harris Pye Group’s CEO, Mark Prendergast.

“With a long track record in upgrades and modifications of vessels for offshore deployment such as FLNG facilities, and boiler modules weighing up to 1600 ton; Richard will be combining this knowledge and experience with Harris Pye’s total solution capabilities, that include equipment such as HRSGs and control systems, and services such as shipyard installation works and offshore riding crews, so as to provide real value for clients and end-users.”
