A consortium comprising Chiyoda CCC Engineering Ltd (CCEL) and Consolidated Contracting Engineering & Procurement S.A.L. Offshore (CCEP), EPC Construction and Engineering service providers in the UAE, have successfully won their next EPC project in Abu Dhabi against tough industry competition.

ADNOC Offshore is the operator of the facilities on Zirku Island, located some 140 km northwest of Abu Dhabi island.

The consortium was recently instructed to proceed with engineering design, procurement and construction for capacity enhancement on Zirku Island.  This enhancement will support the UZ750 project, and includes the addition of a new oil processing train, plant, common utilities and control room upgrade and modifications.

The project is to be completed on a fast track basis, and is expected to be handed over in 2020.

This award showcases that CCEL and CCEP efforts continue to be recognised by project owners in the Middle East. The consortium announced in a press statement that it will set up a task force in Abu Dhabi to complete the Engineering, Procurement and Construction.  This task force will work alongside ADNOC Offshore representatives to enable the consortium to complete the project within this fast track time frame.
