Bilfinger, a global engineering and industrial services provider, showcased its range of solutions at ADIPEC 2017 and launched its new pipe repair technology. Ali Vezvaei, Executive President and CEO for Middle East at Bilfinger speaks to Pipeline Magazine about the company’s ADIPEC experience. “For companies like Bilfinger, with technology and engineering DNA on the one hand and decades of industrial services know how on the other hand, ADIPEC is an ideal opportunity to bring our message across both the CapEx and OpEx worlds - bridging the two ends of the spending spectrum with an eye on “best cost per molecule,” Vezvaei said.

“Bilfinger had great engagement this year, showcasing our broad range of solutions from FEED, full field development capabilities and other engineering derivatives all the way to gas processing, pipeline solutions and life cycle services.”

The exhibition helps foster the discussions with customers and also amongst industry experts, which often leads to new or closer cooperation, other opportunities or even strategic partnerships that ultimately provide tangible value to clients, he added.

The company, active in the Middle East with around 4,000 employees covering engineering and technologies as well as maintenance, modifications and operations, launched a smart pipe repair technology: Loctite Composite Repair - an innovative solution developed in partnership with the chemical giant Henkel - aimed at increasing the plant uptime and significantly helping operators in dealing with unplanned events.

“This is a perfect fit for the gas industry across the Middle East, especially dealing with sour medium and having safety and reliability very high up on the list,” he said. Vezvaei added the company is looking forward to grow its business by driving excellence in plant performance to drive down the total cost of ownership while leveraging its i-maintenance solutions such as BMC and BCAP to help assets produce more with the same.
